LOOPZ

Gotta have my LOOOOOPZ.

Something is dee Zoop, Loopz, it's an easy thing to get mixed up. According to this games title splash screen, this is a game developed by Argonaut Software, known for StarFox and Crok: Legend of the Gobos. Looking at the leaderboard I think Dylan is Dylan Cuthbert, director of the first StarFox on the SNES and, also Star Fox 64 3D, go figure. This is another multi-platform game that first gained popularity on the Amiga and Atari ST, like GearWorks. You make loopz.

Something is deeply disturbing about this game, and that is that rotating pieces is done with A and placing them is done with B. This warps my brain to no end, and took a good deal of time to get used to, there is no way to change it. An interesting thing is that when you get a game over, which will happen, instead of lowering your points like Pipe Dream any garbage on your board will be counted towards your point..

Something is dee Pieces can vary from sharp one-tile corners and one-long straight pieces to funny bends and S-shapes, and it's a struggle to balance your board in such a way that you have space to react to funny pieces while still clearing easier loopz for pointz. On the flip side, misplacing is very, very punishing in this game. One piece out of order and your loopz are desztroyed, and you can't really dig out of it. Because of this the game doesn't flow very well, like Pipe Dream may. It's alright, but nothing too special. Music is kinda creepy, too.
